When Tech Meets Heart: Proact’s Lego Raffle for Homeless House

This week, our friends at Proact IT UK Ltd. reminded us that corporate kindness doesn’t have to be complicated, it can come in the form of a McLaren Lego set, a few emails, and a whole lot of heart.

Proact’s Manchester team launched an internal raffle to raise funds for Homeless House CIC, and while the JustGiving link gave them a run around, their commitment didn’t waver. Marketing exec Leon Thompson and campaign manager Lottie Lewis chased us down with banner images, prize pics, and enough enthusiasm to power a data centre.

We’re genuinely touched by their continued support and slightly amused by the chaos. From timeouts to inbox confusion, this raffle has had more plot twists than a Netflix drama. But it’s also a reminder: when people care, they find a way.

So here’s to Proact, for proving that tech giants can have soft centres, and that fundraising doesn’t need to be flashy to be meaningful. We’ll be cheering on the raffle winner (and secretly hoping they build the McLaren with trauma-informed precision).
