National Lottery Funding: Strengthening Frontline Support in 2026

We’re proud to share that Homeless House has received National Lottery funding to strengthen the work we do alongside people in our community who are facing instability, overwhelm, and isolation. This support arrives at a time when frontline teams are carrying more emotional weight than ever, and when the gaps in the system are becoming harder for people to navigate alone.

Their support helps us stay present in community spaces, offering steady, trauma‑informed support to people who are often missed by traditional services. It also strengthens the connections between the workers who hold so much of the emotional load every day.

This funding allows us to deepen the relationships that matter: the quiet check‑ins, the consistent presence, the moments of stability that help someone feel seen and supported. It gives us the space to collaborate more closely with the people and organisations who are holding the frontline – the staff in hostels, those working with young people throughout Manchester, and the teams in community settings across the city who show up day after day with compassion and resilience.

We’re grateful to the National Lottery for recognising the importance of our work, and we’re especially grateful to everyone who buys a National Lottery ticket. Your choice to play helps organisations like ours stay connected to the people who need steady, human support the most. Thank you for investing in communities, in frontline workers, and in the people who are too often overlooked.

This funding strengthens the foundations of our work for 2026. It helps us continue showing up, listening, and responding with dignity and care – and it reminds us that meaningful change is always a shared effort.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected frontline for the year ahead.

We’re thrilled!! And deeply grateful. Because as we all know, change doesn’t happen in one moment; it happens in the steady, difficult, human ones. This funding helps us stay with people through those moments, so they’re not facing them alone. Thank you to every National Lottery player who makes that possible.” – Antonia Prescott, Founder
