As the nights draw in and the air turns sharp, we’re reminded that warmth isn’t just a comfort, it’s a lifeline. This autumn, thanks to the continued generosity of Rex Sports, our Warm Attire campaign is reaching even further, wrapping hundreds more people in Manchester and beyond in safety, dignity, and care.
Their donations have arrived quietly but powerfully: coats, thermals, waterproofs, and gym kits each one packed with intention. These aren’t surplus items. They’re survival tools for young women leaving custody, navigating homelessness, or rebuilding after trauma. And they’re landing in the hands of those who need them most.
We’ve seen the impact first-hand. A young woman recently told us, “I’ve never had a coat that was mine in the last 2 years. Not one I had to give back.” That moment, simple, heart-breaking, and real, is exactly why Warm Attire exists. And it’s why Rex Sports continues to stand beside us, season after season.
This autumn, their donations have helped us:
- Equip over 120 young people with warm, weatherproof clothing
- Expand our reach into Stockport, Salford, and North Manchester
- Support young women re-entering education and training with base layers
- Offer trauma-informed mentoring with the confidence that no one is showing up cold
We’re not just handing out clothes. We’re handing out hope. And Rex Sports is helping us do it, with no fanfare, no fuss, just heart.
To Gus and the whole Rex Sports team: thank you. Your donations continue to warm hearts, protect bodies, and remind our young people that they matter.
Warm Attire is more than a campaign – it’s a promise. And this autumn, thanks to you, we’re keeping it.
