More Than An Event: Inspiration, Connection and Community at The Big Festoon

At Homeless House CIC, we’re always looking for opportunities to learn, grow and connect with people who are making a difference in their communities.

Earlier this year, members of our team had the opportunity to attend The Big Festoon at AO Arena, thanks to an invitation from Manchester Community Central.

Bringing together charities, community organisations, businesses and leaders from across the region, The Big Festoon was more than just an event. It was a celebration of the people, ideas and partnerships that help communities thrive.

For a growing grassroots organisation like Homeless House, days like these are incredibly valuable. They provide an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day demands of delivering projects and supporting communities, and instead focus on learning, inspiration and connection.

Throughout the day, our team had the chance to meet new people, hear powerful stories, share experiences and reflect on the future of our organisation.

As Homeless House continues to grow, we know that meaningful impact is created not only through the work we deliver, but also through the relationships we build and the ideas we bring back into our communities.

We’re incredibly grateful to Manchester Community Central for the invitation and to The Big Festoon for creating a space where organisations, volunteers and community leaders can come together to celebrate, connect and be inspired.

Because sometimes the most important thing you can do is step into a room full of people who believe that communities can be stronger, fairer and full of opportunity.

And then bring that energy back home.
